Taxi in Barcelona
The taxi cabs in Barcelona are yellow and black with a green light at the top. When the green light and the sign LIBRE is on, the cab is free. You can hail cabs in Barcelona on the street or book in advance with Radio Taxi or Servitaxi. In general cabs are plentiful as there are over 11,000 cabs in the city though they can be harder to find after the metro closes at night.
When you start your journey check that the meter has just been turned on then you pay at the end of the journey the amount displayed on the meter. Fares are posted inside each taxi.
Taxi drivers should be tipped 5-10% of the meter fare.

Bicycle Taxis
Barcelona's new bicycle taxis can be hailed on the street and run on routes in central Barcelona. They can also organise tours in the Pedi cabs that have electric motors for when the going gets tough.
