Profile

Neri H&R is housed in an 18th-century palace that has been completely restored and refurbished, taking special care to conserve the singular features of the original building. The hotel-restaurant has 22 select rooms and a standout culinary offer, as well as a library-lounge and a gardened rooftop terrace and solarium with views of Barcelona's fairytale Gothic Quarter.

The hotel-restaurant's location played a key role in its interior design. Because the Gothic Quarter is so dense,
the hotel sought to create a light and airy respite.

Thus, each room beckons to guests, offering high comfort and charm inextricably bound to an unconventional and eclectic décor that blends original 18th-century elements with striking avant-garde twists.

Sensuality lies at the heart of the décor and design of Neri H&R. The dictionary tells us that the word is used to describe
"the pleasures and delights of the senses". Accordingly, this singular hotel caters to sight, sound, smell, touch and taste.

Sight: Colors play a prominent role in Neri H&R's décor. Each of the three floors has its own unique spectrum. Thus, the first floor is awash in an array of reds, silvers, blacks and blues, colors typical of renaissance painting that allow for sharp contrasts between curtains, sheets, cushions, etc. In contrast, the second floor is imbued with more neutral colors to lend a more spacious feel to the slightly smaller rooms. Finally, the third floor is alive in jungle tones, green and golden hues that leap from the walls and upholstery. This latter floor is Neri H&R's most luminous and includes two junior suites: all of its rooms moreover have private, bamboo-lined balconies.

Sound: Soft music fills the air of the hotel-restaurant's public areas to stimulate the sense of sound. Quintessentially relaxing, the music also hints at the multiculturalism that has historically defined the Gothic Quarter, an area that countless ethnicities and cultures have called home. The ethno-electronic rhythms that envelop Neri H&R thus invoke its surroundings, which have been the city's heart and motor since ancient Roman times.

Smell: Neri H&R has its own unique aroma, one that seeks to engender sensuality through oils, soaps and candles and that permeates every corner of the restaurant and hotel. It is an aroma that captures the essence of wild plants, offering a blend of mimosa and lavender to heighten the pleasure of guests.

Touch: The sense of touch is present in each and every one of the distinct textures that make this establishment so unique, including a variety of plush velvets and iridescent fabrics that change color depending on the fold.

Taste: This sense also receives special attention, above all when choosing the dishes to comprise the restaurant's succulent menu, based on the hallmark flavors and spices of ancient Mediterranean cuisine.
