Accommodations

Numerous artists contributed to the decoration of Neri H&R, all with an exceedingly refined taste that shows through in the details. In each room, the bed is crowned by a 3X1 meter painting whose motif differs from to floor. Thus, the first floor features paintings done in a distinctly renaissance style, using gold and silver leaf, while the second floor is home to enlargements of various flowers. The paintings on the third floor are devoted to majestic horizons.

As for the furniture, rather than a traditional finish, the night tables, desks, etc., retain the
natural, rough texture of sawed wood. Likewise, the doors are sanded, but unstained.

Even the rooms' wooden floors, varnished and polished, have the slightly irregular relief of rough-hewn planks. This rustic décor stands in pleasing contrast to the modern, flat-screen plasma televisions located in each 22 room. Moreover, each room is fitted with an Internet hookup, stereo with a CD player and on-demand cable video system with 25 regularly updated films.

Taken as a whole, the rooms exemplify the belief in the beauty of difference and contrast that defines Neri H&R, a belief with room alike for the classic and the modern, for glamour and technology.

Quartzite was used to achieve this same natural look with the stonework in the bathrooms. The
stone was chosen for its beneficial and health-enhancing properties, as well as its ability to draw out negative energy. Here the contrast is found between this rough, textured stone and the Jacobsen fittings, the very embodiment of purity and minimalism. In addition, all of the bathrooms are fitted out with infrared lights with anti-inflammatory and relaxing properties.

This depth and variety of styles is even apparent in the rooms' doors, where unfinished wood coexists with a cutting-edge sensor-based lock system.

The sheer curtains that veil the windows act like prisms, filling the rooms with color and projecting stunning patterns and refractions impossible to find in everyday life. The tiny, spherical lights are both unusual and inviting.

Some of the rooms still contain the original coffered ceilings. Likewise, a portion of an original 18th-century painting was conserved on the stonework of the establishment's main patio.
