The Hotel Principal can be found at 8 Carrer de la Junta de Comerç, only 150 metres from the Las Ramblas promenade and 5 minutes walking from the metro station Liceu. |
By car: It will take around 25 minutes to reach the Hotel Principal by car. As you exit El Prat de Llobregat, take the C-32B motorway and get off at exit B-22 "Ronda da Dalt/ Tarragona/ Lleida/ Girona". Continue along Carretera al Aeroporto in the same direction and as you come close to Barcelona, get on the C-32 highway: head towards Exit 3A "Barcelona/ Gran Via" and then to "Barcelona/ Ciutat Vella". You will soon be driving along the A-2/B-10 route: after L`Hospitalet de Llobregat, take exit 21, which will lead you into Barcelona. Turn right at Passeig de Joseph Carner; at a roundabout, Plaça de la Carbonera, get on the fourth exit into Avinguda del Paralell towards Estació de Sants. Take your right at Carrer Nou de la Rambla, left at Carrer de Sant Oleguer and you will come to a new roundabout: here, go along the first exit, up to another roundabout on Rambla del Raval; take the first exit again, now into Carrer de Maria Aurèlia Capmany. Turn right at Carrer del Carme, right one more time into Carrer de les Floristes de la Rambla and finally, left into Carrer de la Junta de Comerç. You will find the hotel on your right, after crossing Carrer de l`Hospital.
By train: From the Prat airport near Barcelona, you may take the bus or the train to reach the Hotel Principal. In the first case, get on the "Airport Bus" which leaves the terminal every 15 minutes and within 25 to 35 minutes you will be at Plaça Catalunya; once here, take the metro (line 3 or green) and get off at Liceu stop. From there, walk around 5 minutes to the inn, taking the Hospital street on your left and keeping straight on for 2 blocks. Afterwards, turn left into Carrer de la Junta de Comerç street , which is the first after Agustí. You will see the Hotel Principal on your right. Otherwise, by train you may get services leaving every 15 minutes from the airport to Plaça Catalunya: in this case the journey takes around 35 minutes.
By bus: Take the A1 blue bus from the airport to Plaça Catalunya, here take the metro (linea 3, green line) to Liceu stop. Once there walk two blocks on Hospital St. (on the left as you leave the metro), then turn left on Junta de Comerç st. (the first street after St. Agustí). You will see the sign for Hotel Principal on your right. |
