The reception desk at the Hotel Principal is open 24 hours a day with staff speaking multiple languages, from Catalan, Spanish and English to Italian, French, Georgian and Russian, apart from German and Portuguese. Near the front desk you will find the Internet area, where for an extra cost you will be able to stay connected with the world.
 
A breakfast buffet made up of hot and cold dishes is available for an extra charge: try the cereals, different yoghurts, bacon and sausages, or the eggs, the beans, ham and cheese served for this first meal; in addition to this, there is also salads, vegetables, bread, pasta and the traditional beverages. The hotel has no restaurant nor bar of its own, but it is not necessary as right in front of the building you will find a restaurant and next to it, other places to grab a snack.
 
For lunch you may even buy a sandwich and indulge in it at the property`s solarium, a terrace where the guests can use beach chairs and sunbathe before setting out to discover the many sights in Barcelona. Last but not least, if you need to park your car there is a parking on the same street, where you will need to pay a fixed fare.

At the Hotel Principal you will be within walking distance of many sights belonging to the Ciutat Vella, as the historical centre is called: it is formed by the Gothic quarter (an area with medieval walls and constructions), the Ribera (where the famous Montcada street is placed), the Rambla (a pedestrian street with antique shops, restaurants, cafeterias) and the Raval (with the Sant Pau del Camp Romanic church and the must-see Palau Güell, created by Gaudí). There are also many interesting museums near the inn, such as the Macba and Picasso, as well as the Olympic sea port and the Maremagnum.
