Catedral
This is a good example of the upright feature of Catalan Gothic architecture. Well worth a visit are the cloisters, the Chapter House and the holy Christ of Lepanto.

Plaça del Rei
This is the geographical centre of Barcelona's gothic quarter. Next to each other around the square are the main buildings of this architectural style in the city.

Plaça Sant Jaume
The old Roman Forum is still the city's political centre. The side façades of the Catalan Government building and the City Hall are magnificent examples of civilian Gothic architecture. It is worth visiting the Pati dels Tarongers in the Catalan Government building and the Saló de Cent in the City Hall.

Plaça del Pi
One of the most picturesque squares in the city, in which can be found craft markets and a XIV century Gothic church. Nearby is the main concentrations of antique shops in the city, in Carrer de la Palla.

Carrer Petrixtol
Running parallel to the Rambla is one of the most typical streets in mediaeval Barcelona. The Sala Parés, one of the leading art galleries in the city, can be visited here.

La Rambla
This is the most popular avenue in Barcelona, crowned by two of the most famous landmarks in the city, the Font de Canaletas and the Monument a Colom. La Rambla, constructed over the old bed of a swift-flowing stream, is an avenue which will completely satisfy the most demanding sightseer. Birds, flowers, newspaper stands and impromptu stage and shows fill this avenue with colour. There are countless things to do in La Rambla, from walking over the mosaic floor designed by Miró in the Placa de l'Os, to watching the most modern shows in the old convent of Santa Mònica.

Monument a Colom
Monument built in 1888 in honour of the discoverer of America. A lift takes visitors to the top, where they have a panoramic view of the harbour of the old city.

L'Aquarium
The biggest aquarium in Europe, offers you the possibility of knowing all Mediterranean submarine world. Walk through the tube and you will feel like walking in the ocean.

Maremagnun
In front of Monument a Colon, by the sea, it is the newest commercial and amusement centre in the city. Shops, Bars, Restaurants and Virtual Reality games. Also one of the best night live places in the city.

Moll de la Fusta
Centre of the restored maritime façade of Barcelona. It is notable for its innovative design. Departure point for the boats known as Golondrinas, which go on trips round the harbour as far the breakwater.
