• At what time can we check-in and out?
  All accommodations, Check In from 2pm, Check Out before midday.
• Is the price per room/apartment or per person?
  Price are per room.
• Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast?
  Breakfast is not included in the price. However, with extra charge, you can enjoy our morning buffet, the best way to begin a day with a complete selection of the best products of the Mediterranean diet, freshly baked pastry, assortment of homemade spanish omelets, fresh orange and grapefruit juice, and delicious aromatic café amongs.
• Can we settle the bill on arrival?
  Sure! Feel free to ask at the Front Desk Department and our staff will be more than happy to assist you!.
• Which languages are spoken at the reception?
  English, French, Italian, Spanish and Catalan.
• How many floors are there in the building and do you have an elevator (lift) in the building?
  The hotel has 7 floors, with the Terrace of the Hotel at the top of them. The hotel is equipped with 1 elevator with capacity up to 8 persons.
• Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
  All our rooms are soundprof to ensure our guests a comforable stay. If you are thinking of a special / romantic stay, book a Superior Room; you will not regret your decision!
• Do the rooms/apartments have a terrace/courtyard?
  Some of them have a balcony and most of them are city view.
• Do the rooms/apartments have a balcony?
  Some of them. All the Superior Rooms feature spectacular stained glass windows which belongs to the first period of Modernist style.
• Do you have non smoking rooms/apartments?
  Yes! All rooms at the 5th floor are non smoking.
• Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite or cable TV)?
  Yes! All rooms are equipped with plasma TV with Internet connection and video à la carte with 30 movies.
• Is there a telephone with direct dialling in the rooms/apartments?
  Yes, of course.
• Is there air conditioning in the rooms/apartments? Is there any extra charge for this? Is it seasonal?
  No need to say, all the hotel is air-conditioned at no extra cost.
• Do you have an Internet/E-Mail point in the Property?
  Yes! You will find two computers at your disposal at the Business Center, furnished with the latest generation PC and colour printer, as well as high speed Internet connection.
• Is there a swimming pool? When is it open?
  Yes! The Axel has an out-door swimming-pool, located at the terrace of the hotel.
• Is parking or garage available?
  There is a parking only 200 metres from the hotel.
• Where can we rent a car?
  There are many rent-a-car offices in the surrounding area of the hotel.
• Which is the nearest airport?
  "Barcelona El Prat Internationa Airport" is only 10 km´s from the hotel.
• Do you have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport?
  No we do not offer this service.
• Which is the nearest bus-stop?
  Only 200 metres from the Hotel there are many bus stops as well as a metro station (Plaza Universidad).
• Which is the nearest railway station?
  Paseo de Gracia, which is less than 10 minutes walking from the hotel.
• Which is the nearest / how far away is / how do we arrive from the underground / subway stop?
  At Pl. Universidad (200 mts) you will find a metro station.
• Is there a fitness center in the Property (Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish bath...)?
  Yes! The Axel has a modern fitness in winch you will find it very ease to keep fit. Of you prefer so, enter the dry sauna, or relax in the hamam or the Jacuzzi. A relaxing and exclusive environment especially conceived for your tranquillity.
• Are pets welcome?
  No.
• Is there a restaurant in the Property?
  Of course! At "El Comedor del Axel", you will enjoy an original selection of healthy and natural dishes, a careful mix of international flavours that you can savour in a comfortable and original environment, or if you prefer, in your room.
• Can I connect my modem so that I can surf the Internet from my room/apartment?
  Yes! The hotel is equipped with a wireless system which allows you to connect your laptop anywhere at the hotel (with daily extra charge).
