The room I had was spacious and the en suit bathroom faciliites very nice, however, it's time for the hotel to upgrade the quality of it's furniture and linens and room decor in general.

It would have been helpful to know that if the hotel called me a cab, that they would pick me up at the door. This last bit of information was not given and we ended up dragging all our luggage to the top of the street (2 blocks) to the taxi stand. The desk person could have offered this information when I was inquiring about taxi service.

I have seen other Barcelona hotel web sites that allow you to make a request when booking the room. I would have liked to have asked for a room facing the back of the building (more quiet)rather than having to wait until I showed up at the hotel. As it turned out, no rear facing rooms were available at the time I arrived. So a feature like this would have been nice.

Great centralized location for sightseeing; good room size but very basic (uncomfortable and old) furnishings in the rooms. Nice breakfast buffet and bar area. Overall, a mixed review.

The walls of the room were so thin we could hear the conversations form the next door guests, and worse than that - their cigarettes smoke was all over our room! and I'm pregnant so it bothered me a lot. When we checked in we specifically asked for a non smoking room but it was smoky all the time and there were no other rooms to move us to. Also the connection to English channels like CNN was very poor and we didn't get this channel most of the times.

I feel the hotel is overall in a poor condition. renovations should be made, you can see it from the condition of the curtains, walls, paint, blankets etc.
Regarding the season and the poor condition of the room and hotel we fell we paid too much for this hotel. I have to point out though, that the price for the same hotel was cheaper with you than other sites.
