 It is a pleasure to enter the Hotel Catalonia Albinoni and admire its Neoclassical beauty. The hotel is located in the heart of Barcelona, in the cultural and shopping centre, just a few steps from Plaça Catalunya and the Cathedral. The building has been added to the Artistic Heritage catalogue of the city. |
Pedro Bassegoda i Mateu built this small palace in 1876, and in 1998 it opened its doors as a hotel. The hotel Catalonia Albinoni still preserves its original Neoclassical façade which features Romantic and Baroque motifs. |
 The entry hall, which would be large enough to let in the carriages from the beginning of the century, leads us to the interior courtyard that has been renovated according to the original model. The hotel reception and bar are currently in this courtyard. There we can admire the original marble staircase, typical of the finest houses of those times. |
