The building, built in 1876 by Pedro Bassegoda i Mateu, was inaugurated in 1998 as a hotel. Its façade has been kept intact and boasts an austere Neoclassical style with grafted romantic and barroque decorations. On-site amenities include a business center and computer station, free wireless Internet access throughout the hotel, bar, laundry service and 24-hour front desk with all sorts of tourist information. On July 15, a brand new outdoor swimming pool and waterfall will be available, as well as an outdoor solarium with a wooden floor and garden area with palm trees. Guests are invited to enjoy a meal at the hotel restaurant, El Jardi de l Angel, serving lunch and dinner daily. For those arriving by car, there is parking near the hotel for a surcharge and hotel guests enjoy discounted rates.
A breakfast buffet is served daily in the breakfast room between 7 AM and 10:30 AM.
